IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa freshman Morgan Johnson — a 6-foot-5 center from Platte City, Mo. — made an impression during her Game Time League debut Monday, June 15, at the North Liberty Community Center.
Johnson’s performance caught the attention of Cedar Rapids Gazette writer Brian Heinemann as well as Iowa City Press-Citizen sports editor Ryan Suchomel.

The Hawkeye women’s basketball program has turned in back-to-back seasons of 21-11 with two trips to the NCAA tournament. Iowa won the regular-season Big Ten championship in 2008.
