IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa volleyball program and the National Iowa Varsity Club will host an Iowa volleyball reunion weekend Feb. 11-12 in Iowa City, Iowa.
Former Hawkeye volleyball letterwinners are invited to attend the 2012 Iowa volleyball team banquet Saturday, Feb. 11th at 12 p.m. inside the Paul W. Brechler Press Box at historic Kinnick Stadium. Varsity “I” Letters will be distributed to those former letterwinners that did receive the letter at the conclusion of the careers from 1973-1997.
Following the banquet, the Iowa volleyball staff will give a tour of the recently renovated Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The tour will include an alumni volleyball match in the practice gym of the $43 million facility. The tour will begin at 3 p.m., followed by the alumni match at 4 p.m.
The reunion weekend continues with a pregame social prior to the Iowa women’s basketball game against Michigan State on Sunday, Feb. 12. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. The pregame social begins at 1:30 p.m. in the Feller Club Room in the Dale and Marilyn Howard Family Pavilion inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Please note the reunion weekend is only open to Iowa volleyball letterwinners and their families. Fans are not allowed to attend. Hotel accommodations are available at the Sheraton Downtown Iowa City. Please see the attached registration form and RSVP before Monday, Jan. 30, 2012.
