Two Days Down at Bulldog Invitational

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The University of Iowa women’s tennis team ended day two of action at the Bulldog Invitational with a pair of wins in doubles play today.

After being swept by Dartmouth in singles play, the Hawkeyes came back and earned two victories in doubles. Sophomore Annette Dohanics and junior Caitlin Hindmarsh defeated Heini Salonen and Jennifer Ren of Boston College, 8-2. Freshman Aimee Tarun paired up with Purdue’s Andjela Djokovic to defeat the duo of Katya Vasilyey and Emily Safron from Boston College, 8-5.

The Hawkeyes wrap up the three-day tournament tomorrow. They begin doubles action against Yale University at 9 a.m. (ET) and follow up with singles against the Hokies of Virginia Tech.
