IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa volleyball team will host its annual Black and Gold Scrimmage on Saturday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The scrimmage is set for 4 p.m. (CT) in the practice facility located on the second floor. Doors will open to the public at 3 p.m. (CT). Admission is free.
Hawkeye fans can see the 2015 squad in action for the first time. Iowa returns seven letterwinners and welcomes eight newcomers to its roster.
In-match updates will be available on the team’s live match Twitter feed, @IowaVB_Live. The team will sign autographs immediately following the match.
The Hawkeyes open the 2015 regular season at the Northern Illinois Tournament, Aug. 29-30. Iowa is scheduled to play South Dakota State and Pacific on Aug. 29 before taking on host the host Huskies on Aug. 30.
