IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa men’s tennis junior Josh Silverstein will begin competition in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-American tournament on Monday, Oct. 3.
Based on his results from last season, Silverstein was placed in the qualifying bracket, making him the first Hawkeye since Stuart Waters in 2002 to skip the pre-qualifying bracket. Silverstein finished last season at the top spot with a record of 13-8.
“I think I’m there [mentally],” said Silverstein. “I’ve prepared properly and set myself up for the best results.”
