SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Three University of Iowa men’s tennis student-athletes competed today at the Bobby Bayliss Invitational hosted by Notre Dame.
 
Sophomore Tony Leto defeated Darius Mackenzie of Wisconsin, 6-4, 6-2.
 
In doubles, Leto partnered with senior Robin Haden and beat Chris Patzanovsky and Turner Voges of Memphis, 8-2. Earlier in the day, the duo lost, 8-3, to Aws Laaribi and Gabriel Nemeth of Penn State.

Haden faced John Zordani of Wisconsin and fell, 3-6, 6-2, 5-7.
 
Freshman Jason Kerst took the court against Notre Dame’s Daniel Rayl and lost, 4-6, 6-4, 2-6.
 
In Saturday’s singles flight’s, Haden and Kerst will both play at 9 a.m. against Sean Donohue of Louisville and Afonso Salgado of Indiana, respectfully. Leto’s match against Mackenzie Stearns of Marquette will be later in the day.
