Hawkeyes Ranked 6th in Central Region

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa men’s tennis team is ranked sixth in the final ITA Central Region rankings announced this week.

The Hawkeyes finished sixth as a team for the second straight year and the third time in five years.

Iowa had two doubles teams regionally ranked for the first time in program history. The junior pair of Josh Silverstein and Lefteris Theodorou were ranked seventh, while senior Robin Haden and junior Jake Jacobyfinished the season with a No. 8 ranking.

In singles, Silverstein was slotted 17th. The Great Neck, New York, native worked his way onto the national rankings list during the 2017 spring season where he finished No. 117.
