Puerto Vallarta, Mexico — Senior Jessica Ip carded her sixth round at-or-below par in round two on Friday to lead the University of Iowa at the Hawkeye El-Tigre Invitational.  Iowa is 11th after 36-holes of play with a score of 601 (+25).
 
No. 16 Arizona is in first after two rounds with a score of 570 (-6).  No. 14 Washington (588; +12) and No. 45 San Diego State round out the top three.
 
COMPETING INDIVIDUALLY
Iowa has five student-athletes competing as individuals.  Freshman Rachel Fujitani is tied for 38th with a 36-hole score of 152 (+8).  Freshman Annalee Dannegger is making her Hawkeye debut this week, she is 79th with a two-round score of 76 (+32).
 
IP’S TOP-10 DAY
Senior Jessica Ip utilized five birdies in round two en route to her sixth round at-or-below par — a team high — carding a 70 (-2).  Ip is tied for eighth with a 36-hole score of 144 (E).
