QUOTING HEAD COACH MEGAN MENZEL
We saw a lot of good golf today out of the Hawkeyes.  Unfortunately we were one score short today to be more competitive.  Our team is in a good place and I like how they are working. Shawn is really coming along, and I thought she had a solid opening round today.”

QUOTING CAPTAIN SHAWN RENNEGARBE
“Today was a good grind for me.  Nothing was spectacular, but I did a good job taking advantage of the easier holes and making good choices on the holes that require some really tough golf shots.  I was fortunate to have Coach Menzel walking with me and being able to talk through shots with her was extremely helpful throughout the day.  This course is very visually challenging, so as we continue playing the course I think everyone will feel more comfortable and have improved scores.”
