IOWA CITY, Iowa — The nationally-ranked University of Iowa men’s tennis team will send Matt Clegg, Will Davies, Nikita Snezhko, and Joe Tyler for their first individual action of the fall season. The first annual Spartan Invite will take place beginning on Friday at the MSU Outdoor Tennis Courts in East Lansing, Michigan.
FORMAT
There will be one draw of 16 doubles teams from each school. Teams will start by playing a 6-game set of doubles, followed by a five-minute break and then two singles matches with a 10-point breaker in lieu of a third set. The doubles team from each school that wins two out of three matches will advance to the next round. Losing teams will be guaranteed a minimum of three singles and three doubles matches.
