Bacalla and Ruette Finish Up WMU Fall Invite

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – University of Iowa sophomore Michelle Bacalla won her singles match on the last day of the WMU Fall Invite.
 

Bacalla beat Femke Tjon-A-Joe from Western Michigan in three sets: 7-5, 5-7, 10-5. Sophomore Cloe Ruette lost to Valerie Riegraf from Western Michigan, 6-0, 6-1.

“Good finish to the tournament for Michelle, it was nice to see her come through in one of those third sets,” said assistant coach Daniel Leitner. “Hopefully we learned some things here and are ready to get after it at regionals this week.”
