IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa freshman Morgan Goldstein tied for 14th at the Cactus Tour in Mesa, Arizona May 20-22.
The Las Vegas native posted a 54-hole score of 221 (+5). She shot 75 (+3) the first two rounds and 71 (-1) the third round securing her a place in the top half of the competition.
“Going into the tournament I was extremely nervous since I haven’t competed in a while,” Goldstein said. “Coming out of the tournament, I was proud of the way I made progress through the event and I’m excited to play in some more events and get back into competition.”
Goldstein intends to compete in another Cactus Tour in Las Vegas later this summer.
