IOWA CITY, Iowa – The No. 4 University of Iowa field hockey team (11-5, 5-3), fell to No. 2 Michigan (12-2, 6-0), 2-0, in the Big Ten Tournament Semifinals on Thursday afternoon at Grant Field.
After a scoreless battle in the first quarter, Michigan scored its first goal to put them on the board as the first half expired.
After half, the Wolverines notched their second goal off a penalty corner.
Iowa campaigned to come back with three shots in the fourth quarter, but Michigan finished the game with the win.
