2015 — Went 1-2 with a 4.02 ERA in 16 appearances — four starts and 12 relief appearances… allowed 16 runs (14 earned) on 21 hits over 31 1/3 innings… had 21 strikeouts to 22 walks… limited hitters to a .198 batting average… made his first appearance in nearly a month (4/28), throwing a perfect inning against Indiana (5/22) in the Big Ten Tournament… threw a career-high four innings, allowing two runs on three hits in a no-decision at Western Illinois (4/1), fanning four… made his first career start, throwing two innings of two-hit, one-run ball vs. Bradley (3/25)… converted a second straight save opportunity, throwing three scoreless innings, allowing two hits and striking out three at Middle Tennessee (3/7)… recorded his first save, throwing three hitless innings in relief with four strikeouts against Cincinnati (2/28) en route to first career save… recorded his first career win, throwing three hitless innings in relief in 6-5 win over Missouri State… allowed one run and had two strikeouts against two walks… made his first collegiate appearance, allowing three runs on two hits over two innings against Kansas State (2/13).

At Ellsworth CC — Second-team all-region honoree as a sophomore… had eight saves, tying him for sixth in the country… posted a 1.69 ERA over 16 innings (15 appearances)… struck out 18 batters and allowed three earned runs… hit .315 with 14 doubles, two triples and three home runs… drove in 31 runs and scored 37 runs… coached by Travis Akre.

High School — Second-team all-state and first-team all-conference and all-district honoree as a senior… named team captain and MVP as junior and senior… second-team all-conference and all-district as a junior… school record holder in runs and home runs… also was second-team all-conference forward in basketball… member of the National Honor Society… high school coach was Tim Felderman.

Personal — Born Feb. 11, 1994… son of Don and Shelly Grant… has two siblings, Jase and Breann… majoring in sports studies.
