At Creighton (2014-16) — Went 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA in 23 career appearances… had eight strikeouts over 12 innings pitched… went 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA as a junior over 16 appearances… had seven strikeouts and held hitters to a .167 average over 9 1/3 innings… made six appearances as a sophomore, posting a 5.40 ERA… made his first career appearance against Stephen F. Austin on May 13, 2014.

High School — Second-team all-state honoree as a senior after hitting .398… two-time first-team all-conference and all-district honoree… went 2-1 as a senior, allowing six earned runs in 17 1/3 innings… posted a 3.12 ERA in six games, making five starts… hit .317 for his career with 19 extra base hits (15 doubles, one triple, and three home runs)… didn’t pitch as a junior because of injury… helped team to two CIML Metro titles and a 2011 Class 4A State Tournament appearance… played for Perfect Game Iowa Select Team in 2010-11… also was a three-year basketball letterwinner, earning second-team all-state honors… was an AP National Scholar in 2012 and a member of the National Honor Society… high school coach was Ryan Fitzgerald.
