2016-17 — Appeared in two competitions on the 2N8+ crew… finished fourth (7:16.58) at the Big Ten Championship on May 14… defeated Ohio State in the morning (7:23.30) and afternoon (8:07.30) sessions of the Big Ten Double Dual on April 8… defeated Kansas (7:46.81) in the morning session and Louisville (7:54.37) in the afternoon session of the Double Dual on the 3V4+ crew on April 1… helped Iowa to a fifth-place finish (14:37.97) on the N8 “B” crew at the Jayhawk Jamboree on Oct. 23.

Before Iowa…Member of the Austin Rowing Club (2011-2016)…team captain senior year…rowed at Texas rowing center…member of National Honors Society.

Personal…born March 17, 1998…daughter of Renee and John Shook…nickname is Mega-Cool…finance and accounting major.

What is your favorite aspect of rowing…The opportunity to grow and improve everyday as a team.

What made you want to become a rower…I enjoy doing things out of the ordinary and rowing isn’t very mainstream.
