2018 — Cross Country – competed at the Hawkeye Invitational (15:38.2-4,000 meters).

High School — Three-time Elite All-State honoree… 2018 All-Iowa 4A Des Moines Register team and academic All-State team honoree…  Two-time state champion in the 3,200-meter relay… holds 3,200-meter relay school record, indoor (9:40.61) and outdoor (9:09.34)… 2018 Drake Relays 3,200-meter relay champion… coached by Jesse Hunt, Matt Pries and Abby Schmitz… Four-year letter winner in softball, where she earned three all-conference, two all-district and two all-state accolades… National Honor Society member.

Personal — Born Feb. 4, 2000… daughter of Phil and Ginger Akason… has one sister, Lindsey Akason… Has four relatives that played sports collegiately: Mark Akason (University of Iowa, football), Joel Akason (Winona State, football), Andy Heinle (Missouri Western, football) and Taylor Akason (Pepperdine, volleyball)… pharmacy major.
