Hanna Earns Iowa’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa sophomore Kaitlyn Hanna has been named the team’s Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient, it was announced Tuesday by the league office.

The award is presented to student-athletes who display good sportsmanship and ethical behavior, are in good academic standing and demonstrate good citizenship outside of athletics. The honor is the first of Hanna’s career.

The Omaha, Nebraska, native competed in all 10 tournaments during the 2023-24 season, posting a career-best 74.63 scoring average over 30 rounds. Hanna tallied a pair of top 20 finishes, tying for 12th at the Red Raider Invitational and FAU Paradise Invitational.

Hanna had career low 18-hole (69) and 54-hole (216) totals during the season, finishing the year with eight rounds at or below par.
