IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa women’s swimming and diving team has been named a Scholar All-America team, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced.
"This recognition honors programs that achieve the highest standards in the classroom while representing their institution in the pool," the executive director of the CSCAA Samantha Barany said. "Coach Nathan Mundt, his staff, and the entire team have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to success both academically and athletically, setting a standard of excellence we can all be proud of."
The Hawkeyes are one of 781 teams from 459 institutions to earn the honor for the Fall 2024 semester. To earn the recognition, teams are required to achieve a GPA of 3.0 or above during the semester. Iowa recorded a team GPA of 3.40.
As a program, the Hawkeyes have earned the distinction in 20 consecutive seasons.
Iowa has completed its regular season and returns to action at the Big Ten Championships, hosted by Ohio State, Feb. 19-22.
