#13 Justin Petty Season 2004-05

2005 – played in 28 games, starting 14… Iowa’s primary secondbaseman against lefthanded pitching… hitting .340 against southpaws… 4-of-5 in stolen bases… went 3-of-4 with two runs scored and an RBI against Northern Iowa (Apr. 12)… 2-for-3 with a run scored and RBI against Minnesota (May 7).

2004 – Played in three games, starting two… hit .286 with three RBIs on the year… went 2-of-5 with three RBIs against Illinois State (Apr. 6).

College – Played two seasons at Marshalltown Community College… had a .391 batting average with 3 HR, 17 doubles and 3 triples… second team all-Conference selection.

High School – Two-time second team all-State selection… first team all-District selection as a sophomore… hit .490 with 3 HR as a sophomore, .529 with 1 HR as a junior and .450 with eight HR as a senior… posted a 10-1 record with a .89 ERA as a junior… led team to the Class 2A semifinals in 2000… led team to three consecutive conference titles… National Honor Society… junior class president… student council for four years.
