#54 Anterio Thompson Season 2023-24

2023 – – Leads the team and ranks third in the nation with two blocked punts… recorded one solo tackle and blocked first career punt that resulted in a safety in 41-10 win over Western Michigan… returned the punt for 15 yards vs. Western Michigan… blocked his second career punt in 10-7 win at Northwestern, setting up Iowa’s first scoring drive of the game… played in seven games.

Iowa Western – – Played one season at Iowa Western Community College… earned first-team all-conference and all-region honors in one season as Iowa Western posted a 10-2 record while earning NJCAA Division I national title… junior college coach was Scott Strohmeier.

 

 

High school honors – – Earned first-team all-conference honors as a senior… Career – – Played both defensive tackle and end as a prep… 39 tackles as a senior, with seven tackles for loss, one sack and one touchdown… also competed in basketball as a prep.

Personal – – Born 10/29/02… business major… named academic all-region… parents are Tyshaun and Areal Greenwood… high school coach was Jeff Hoerner.
