2016-17 — Appeared in five competitions on the 1V4+ crew… finished runner-up (7:08.30) against Princeton, Penn, and Syracuse on April 28… defeated Rutgers (7:57.40) in the morning session and placed runner-up (8:02.00) to Ohio State in the afternoon session of the Big Ten Double Dual on April 8… defeated Michigan State (7:25.38) in the morning session and Louisville (7:28.69) in the afternoon session of the Double Dual on April 1… won the first heat (7:01.44) against Duke, Oklahoma, and San Diego and helped Iowa to a second-place finish (7:13.37) against Texas in the A Final at the Longhorn Invitational on March 25… finished seventh (19:57.65) at the Head of the Charles Regatta on Oct. 22.

2015-16 — competed in four competitions in the 1N8+ boat… placed first (7:37.1) at the Big Ten/ ACC Double Dual… competed in both sessions at the Big Ten Double Dual, placing second (7:00.10) and first (7:00.50)… placed first (7:20.370) at the Big Ten/ Big 12 Double Dual… placed fourth (6:48.556) at the Big Ten Championships… letterwinner

Before Iowa… 1st in the U17 women’s 8+ at Ontario Championships and 3rd at Henley in the U17 women’s 8+ her sophomore year… 1st in the U19 women’s 8+ at Ontario Championships and 3rd in the u19 women’s 4+ at Henley her junior year… Junior National Rowing Team, 2015, 2nd in 8+ and 3rd in 4-… graduated with honors… honor role each year of school…received the French, English, Excellence in Academics and Nicki Strickland DiDomenico Award… rowing coaches were Kathy Boyes and Ken Chapman.

Personal… Born on November 21, 1997 in St Cathrines, Ontario… daughter of Dylan and Lisa Bristowe… pre-medicine major…

Why Iowa… I chose to attend the University of Iowa because of its great campus and highly recognized academic programs. The university also has awesome athletic facilities with great coaches and friendly people.

My favorite aspect of rowing is… My favorite aspect about the sport of rowing is the racing. After training so hard all winter long it is great to get out in the boat and rip it to the finish line!

What made you want to become a rower… I got started the first year of high school. I wanted to become a rower because I like a challenge and rowing is a sport where you have to show up everyday and challenge yourself and your team to be better.
