Iowa City, IA – Hawkeye senior Sarah Arens was named Big Ten Athlete of the Week afterwinning the individual title at the first annual Iowa Invitational. Arens, a native of Remsen, IA,crossed the finish line of the 3,000-meter course in 10:41 to give Iowa a first-place finish overEastern Illinois. Arens has now led the Hawkeyes in their last 12 meets. The team victory gavefirst-year coach Layne Anderson a win in his first competition as Iowa’s head coach.
