Hawkeyes Complete Badger Invitational

MADISON, WI – The University of Iowa women’s golf team finished in eighth place, while the men’s team finished in ninth place after the final round of competition at the Badger Invitational.

For the women’s team, Liz Bennett led the Hawkeyes with a 36-hole score of 159 to place her in a tie for 15th. Virginie Bonfils posted a 162 to put her in 21st. Karla Murra finished in 29th with a 165. Shannon Fleming carded a 171 to put her in 35th place. Lauren Cole ended tied for 38th after shooting a 174.

On the men’s side, Luke Miller lead the Hawkeyes after firing a 151 to place him tied for 21st. Bennett Hammerberg was tied at 28th with a 153 and Jon Feldick ended at 36th with a score of 155. Tied at 42nd was Andy Tiedt with a two round total of 157. Erik Feldick posted a 166 to place him at 45th.

In order to allow adequate time for teams to return home, the tournament was shortened from 54 to 36 holes.
