When did you start playing volleyball?
“I started playing volleyball in seventh grade for the Dubuque Dreamers club team.”

What impresses you the most about Coach Buck-Crockett?
“I really respect how supportive she was when I decided to stop playing volleyball two years ago, she knew it was the best thing for me at the time and she left an open door for me to come back and play.”

Is there any significance attached to your uniform number?
“Yes! My grandma Sue-Sue wore that number when she played basketball and so did my father. I have never worn another number.”

What would you be doing if you weren’t playing college volleyball?
“Finishing up school and hanging out with my friends.”

Giese set a career high earlier with 22 kills in Iowa’s victory over Duke.

While on the road, how do you like to spend your spare time?
“Listening to Betsy sing.”

What attracted you to the University of Iowa?
“It is a big school and I have always been a Hawkeye fan.”

What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?
“Never pass up a bathroom!”

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
“I love New York City. There is so much culture and diversity.”

If you were given three wishes, what would you wish for?
“To be happy, rich and successful.”

If you could be a star in any sport, other than volleyball, what would it be and why?
“I would be the punter for Iowa football so I could be cool like Dave Bradley.”

If you could trade places for a day with anyone, who would it be and why?
“Yoko Ono. I would love to see the world through her eyes, she is a very liberated women. Or the Dali Lama so I could feel pure enlightenment.”

If you could meet anyone (past or present) whom would you want to meet?
“Donatello Versace. I would try to get a job from her.”

What is something that you can’t imagine life without?
“My family.”

What is your biggest pet peeve?
“When people are selfish and judgmental.”

What movie have you watch the most amount of times and why?
“Probably the Shawshank Redemption.”

If you could guest star on any television show what would it be?
“The Simpsons.”

If you could have a million of anything, what would it be?
“You can never have too many handbags. I believe you can define a woman by the handbag she carries.”
