Cedar Falls, IA – University of Iowa men’s cross country runner Brian Rae finished 199th at the NCAA Championships today in Cedar Falls, IA.
The Hawkeye sophomore finished the 10,000-meter championship course in 31:47, topping last year’s NCAA championship performance, where he finished in 32:49. Colorado’s Dathan Ritzenhein was the individual champion. Ritzenhein edged second-place Ryan Hall of Stanford by one second, completing the course in 29:14.
Stanford easily won the team championship, placing four individuals in the top five and scoring just 24 team points. Big Ten Champion Wisconsin placed second with 174 team points.
The NCAA Championships will be broadcast December 4th on Fox Sports Chicago at 3 p.m. and on December 16th at 2 p.m.
