BOERNE, TX – The University of Iowa women’s golf team shot an 54-hole total of 941 to finish in a tie for seventh in the Baylor-Tapatio Springs Shootout. Indiana came away with the team title after posting a three-round total of 896.
Junior Liz Bennett finished in tenth place with a score of 229. A one under par second round (71) highlighted her performance. Junior Shannon Fleming tied for 35th with a total of 237. Senior Laura Holmes shot a 238 to tie for 38th. Freshman Amy Riepma tied for 54th after carding a 162. Freshman Karla Murra shot a 54-hole total of 254, which finished her tied for 92nd.
The Hawkeyes will continue competition April 3-4 at the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, IN.
