Revised and updated guidelines governing on-campus recruiting visits by prospective student-athletes have been approved by University of Iowa President David Skorton and will be implemented immediately.
The guidelines prohibit underage drinking and sexual harassment; they note that recruits under the age of 19 are not allowed in bars after 10 p.m.; they require that entertainment of recruits be confined to the Iowa City-Coralville area, and they require that the recruits be escorted to their overnight accommodations no later than 12:30 a.m., unless they are participating in activities supervised or arranged by UI coaching staff.
