LAST SPRING — The Hawkeyes finished ninth at the 2004 Big Ten Championships in Ann Arbor, MI. Iowa shot posted a score of 873 after three rounds, their best three-round total of the year. Leading the Hawkeyes was senior Cade Pleggenkuhle with 218. Pleggenkuhle was followed closely by Andy Tiedt (219) and Jon Feldick (222).

THIS WEEK’S ROSTER — Traveling to Ann Arbor this weekend will be juniors Tiedt, Luke Miller, and Brian deBuhr, and sophomores Todd Larson and Feldick.

QUOTING COACH ANDERSON — “There are 14 teams at this event, including five Big Ten teams, it should be a competitive crowd. All five guys playing this weekend had great summers on the course. Hopefully they can keep it up while balancing school and golf. Everybody’s a year older, a year wiser, and I think we are better prepared. I would, in no way, be surprised if we won this weekend, we are very capable of doing so. I think anything but a top-five finish would be a bit of a dissapointment.”

COACH TERRY ANDERSON — Anderson is in his 12th year as Iowa’s head coach. Anderson was a four-year letterman at Iowa State. He also serves as the Director of Golf at Iowa’s Finkbine Golf Course. The Iowa Golf Association named him 1998 PGA Professional of the Year.
