ANN ARBOR, MI – – The University of Iowa women’s golf team sits in 13th place after two rounds of the 2004 Lady Northern Invitational held on the par-72 U-M Golf Course. Iowa carded a 36-hole score of 636. Missouri and host school Michigan lead the pack after each school fired a 585.
Sophomore Amy Riepma led the Hawkeyes during the first day of competition. Riepma is tied for 54th place after stroking a 36-hole score of 158 (83-78). Senior Shannon Fleming is one stroke behind Riepma in 60th place after posting a 159 (80-79). Freshman Jill Marcum is tied for 60th after carding a 160 (82-78).
The tournament concludes tomorrow morning with the final 18 holes starting at 7:30 a.m. (CDT).
