Today (Friday, Nov. 19)Gary Dolphin reviews the busy weekend that begins tonight with men’s and women’s basketball in the Arena and includes Saturday’s battle for the Heartland Trophy on the gridiron inside historic Kinnick Stadium.

Thursday, Nov. 18)There are actually two Iowa vs. Wisconsin games on the gridiron to be played this weekend. Learn more about the “Rusty Tool Box” game.

Wednesday, Nov. 17Brent Balbinot talks a little NCAA Cross Country with Coach Larry Wieczorek. The Hawkeyes earned a berth in this year’s national championship with a third-place finish at last week’s regional meet.

Tuesday, Nov. 16 It’s wrestling season and Brent Balbinot visits with Jim Zalesky about national rankings, pre-season competition, and his strategy moving forward to this year’s Big Ten and NCAA championships.

Monday, Nov. 15, Gary Dolphin talks about Iowa quarterback Drew Tate and the Hawkeyes’ magical victory at Minnesota last Saturday in the annual battle for Floyd of Rosedale. Dolphin also visits with UI Athletic Director about the agreement between the University of Iowa and Kirk Ferentz.

Friday, Nov. 12
Gary Dolphin talks a little Hawkeye football and the annual battle for Floyd of Rosedale. There’s also a little more at stake this year including bowl game positioning within the Big Ten.

Thrusday, Nov. 11
Iowa’s nationally ranked field hockey team returns to NCAA Tournament participation for the first time since the 1999 campaign with a 1 p.m. (Iowa time) Saturday date with American University in College Park, Md. Brent Balbinot visits with UI Coach Tracey Griesbaum about the Hawkeyes’ season and this weekend’s post-season action.

Wednesday, Nov. 10
Brent Balbinot talks with first-year UI women’s swimming coach Marc Long, a former Big Ten champion at the Hawkeyes, about the coming season for his Iowa Hawkeye squad.

Tuesday, Nov. 9
Snow is getting ready to fly, but that doesn’t mean the Iowa baseball team is shutting down for the winter months. Just to the contrary reports Brent Balbinot, who visits with Hawkeye Coach Jack Dahm in today’s installment of Inside Iowa.

Monday, Nov. 8
Gary Dolphin talks a little Iowa football after Iowa’s thrilling 23-21 victory over Purdue and looking forward to Saturday’s game with Minnesota – the annual battle for Floyd of Rosedale.

Thursday, Nov. 4
Senior defensive lineman Jonathan Babineaux talks about how he was motivated by his teammates during his rehabilitation after a season-ending injury last year at Ohio State. He also looks ahead to this week’s game against Purdue, a team that sports a high-powered offense.

Wednesday, Nov. 3
Moving the Hawkeyes. Brent Balbinot talks with UI staffer John Streif about all that’s involved in moving the Hawkeyes for an away game whether that game in across the state, across the Midwest, or across the nation.

Brent Balbinot talks about with several members of Lisa Bluder’s 2004-05 Iowa women’s basketball team and about what it will take for the Hawkeyes to reach the post-season for the fifth consecutive season.

Monday, Nov. 11
Gary Dolphin talks about Iowa’s hard luck on the injury front and with Kirk Ferentz about the improvement in the play of the Hawkeyes’ offensive line and special teams. The progress comes at a good time with Iowa facing three difficult tests in November.

Friday, Oct. 29
The Hawkeyes square off against the Fighting Illini on the gridiron Saturday in Champaign, Ill. Gary Dolphin talks a little football plus takes one last look at Sunday’s Big Ten Conference Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships.

Thursday, Oct. 28
Brent Balbinot takes a look at Sunday’s Big Ten Conference Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships on the Ashton Cross Country Course on the UI campus. The course is dedicated at 9:45. The women’s championship will start at 10:45; the men’s race will follow.

Wednesday, Oct. 27
Brent Balbinot visits with John Davey, head coach of the UI’s men’s swimming and diving team, about his 2004-05 Hawkeyes, last week’s season opener against nationally ranked Wisconsin and the remainder of the ’04-05 year.

Tuesday, Oct. 26
Brent Balbinot talks a little defense with Crystal Smith and Jamie Cavey of Coach Lisa Bluder’s Iowa women’s basketball team. The Hawkeyes are only weeks away from their 2004-05 season-opening exhibition game Nov. 4 against the Australian Institute for Sport in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
