Attention Young Hawk Fans!

Dec. 2, 2004

You head down the tunnel and emerge onto the court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City and the crowd erupts with cheers. That’s what it feels like to be a University of Iowa Hawkeye basketball player and soon, young Iowans will have the chance to feel what it’s like, too.

Kum & Go conveniences stores, Coca-Cola Bottling Company, and the University of Iowa Department of Intercollegiate Athletics are providing young fans of the Hawkeyes the opportunity to be an honorary ball boy or ball girl at select home games against non-conference and Big Ten Conference opponents in award-winning Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Boys and girls ages seven to 14 who have not entered high school are eligible.

Winners will receive four (4) game tickets, an autographed souvenir basketball, a souvenir t-shirt, a media guide, the opportunity to “work” the game, an introduction before the game, have their “name in lights” and receive a photograph of their special appearance.

“Kum & Go is pleased to be a part of this youth-focused program. We feel privileged to assist in making young Iowans dreams come true while supporting the athletic programs at the University of Iowa.”

Two winners will be selected for each basketball game. Interested youth can register to win at their local Kum & Go store.
