Today, several members of the Iowa track and field team wrapped up competition in the 62nd Annual Coca-Cola Florida Relays held on the University of Florida campus.

Although no Hawkeyes won gold in the rain-shortened event, two athletes did qualify for the NCAA Regional meet. Junior Tim Brodersen and senior Andy Banse both qualified in the discuss throw with tosses of 177-5 and 165-10, respectively. Also, runners Meghan Armstrong, Nikki Chapple, and Rachael Marchand as well as Brodersen and Banse all set new collegiate bests.

The men’s team next competes April 2 in the Cal State Northridge Open. The women’s team will compete April 9 in the Missouri Invitational.
