Big Ten Championships Day Two Results in PDF Format

ANN ARBOR, MI – The University of Iowa Women’s Golf Team remained in sixth place after the third round of the Big Ten Championships played today on the par-72 (5,966 yards) University of Michigan Golf Course. For the second straight day, playing conditions diminished as the student athletes played through a rain/snowy mix with temperatures in the mid-30s and wind gusts up to 35 mph.
Iowa posted a third round score of 334, which gives the Hawkeyes a 54-hole score of 959. Minnesota (965) is only six strokes behind Iowa in seventh place in the 72-hole tournament.
Iowa senior Liz Bennett leads the Hawkeyes after carding a 236 and is tied for 14th place. Sophomore Karla Murra is tied for 16th after posting a 237. Sophomore Amy Riepma is tied for 28th (242), while freshman Jill Marcum is tied for 34th (244). Senior Shannon Fleming and freshman Maggie Gelber are tied for 57th (259). The lowest four scores from each round are counted toward the team’s overall total score.
Three-time defending champion Ohio State (900) leads the championships by 32 strokes over second place Michigan (932). Three Buckeyes led the championships: Kristen White (first), Lindsay Knowlton (second) and Jennifer Selfinger (third).
The final 18 holes of the championships will be played Sunday with a 8:30 a.m. (CDT) shotgun start – weather permitting.
