IOWA CITY, IA – The University of Iowa women’s cross country team has been named academic all-Americans by the Women’s Intercollegiate Cross Country Coaches Association (WICCCA) for the second consecutive year. To claim this distinction a team must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above. The Hawkeyes earned a team GPA of 3.110. Iowa was one of 103 teams that earned over a 3.00 team GPA. Other Big Ten Conference schools honored include Minnesota (3.540), Michigan State (3.523) and Illinois (3.313). Lipscomb University, a member of the Atlantic Sun Conference led the honorees recording a team average of 3.870.
