April 28, 2005

University of Iowa Head Golf Coach Terry Anderson announced Adam Fraser has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of Iowa, beginning this fall.

Fraser played his first two years of collegiate golf at Indian Hills Community College and will have two years of eligibility remaining. As a sophomore, Fraser placed 24th in the River City Classic and 25th at the Buena Vista University Spring Invitational.

The native of Huxley, IA, attended Ballard High School where he was coached by Stan Westinfield. He holds the nine and 18-hole school record. Fraser is a four-time all-conference honoree and a two-time conference and sectional champion (2000 and 2001). He took home third place honors at the 2001 Class 2A state tournament.

“I look forward to having Adam as a Hawkeye,” said Coach Anderson. “He comes to Iowa as a seasoned college player. Adam wants to compete at the Division I level and he has the tools to be successful. He will be a valuable addition to the team. This will be my first real experience with a junior college graduate.”
