The second day of the 96th Annual Drake Relays was held today at Drake Stadium. Just a handful of Hawkeye women and men competed in the day’s events.
Freshman Eric MacTaggart, sophomore Jeff Kent, and junior Dan Haut competed in the 5,000 meter race, finishing 6th, 9th, and 20th place, respectively. Sophomore Nikki Chapple, freshman Jordan Laney, and seniors Katie Donlon and Michelle Sokol ran in the 4×1600 meter relay and finished in 20:39.12.
Competition resumes tomorrow morning with the women’s distance medley relay slated to begin at 9:30 a.m.
