MADSISON, WI – The Iowa Men’s Golf finished the first round of the 2005 Big Ten Championships in eighth place. During the first 18 holes they carded a score of 296 (+8). Big Ten opponent Michigan State is currently in first place with a team score of 282(-6).
The Hawkeyes top individual performer is currently Brian deBuhr(T13, E) who had a solid round of even par. Bennett Hammerberg(T18, +1) and Dan Holterhaus(T25, +2) also contributed with good performances. Other Hawkeyes competing are Jon Feldick(T43, +5) and Luke Miller(T47, +6).
