Madison, WI – The Iowa Men’s Golf complete the second of three rounds of the 2005 Big Ten Championships in eighth place. Yesterday they carded a score of 296 (+8) which left them in a tie for eighth. Today they showed improvement went shooting a team score of 289(+1) but that still left them in a tie for the eight spot. Big Ten opponent Indiana is currently in first place by shooting a spectacular 558(-18) so far in the tournament. The Hoosiers are carried by the current individual lead Jeff Overton who has back to back rounds of 65 to give him a score of -14.
The Hawkeyes top individual performer is currently Brian deBuhr (T12, E) who had second round of even par. Luke Miller (T32, +3) carded a 69 in round two to tie him with teammate Dan Holterhaus (T32, +3) for 32nd in the tournament. Other Hawkeyes competing are Bennett Hammerberg (T41, +5) and Jon Feldick (49, +8).
