University of Iowa’s standout freshman Kineke Alexander qualified for the finals in the women’s 400-meter dash tonight at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Alexander, a native of Glenside, Mesopotamia, was the only Hawkeye to compete today. She ran a collegiate best 51.71 in her qualifying heat, which was fourth best out of the 16 competitors.
The final heat of the women’s 400-meter dash is scheduled for 6:10 (PST). Sophomore Peaches Roach will compete in the women’s high jump finals at 7:00 (PST).
