MONTREAL, CANADA — University of Iowa senior diver Nancilea Underwood has finished ninth in the three-meter springboard at the 11th FINA World Championships held in Montreal.

In the finals, Underwood had a total of 513.60. Guo Jingjing of China won the competition with a total of 645.54 points.

Underwood also competed in the three-meter synchro springboard with teammate Christina Loukas and finished 12th. The team had a total of 260.28. Li Ting and Guo Jingjing of China won the event with a total of 349.80.

Underwood will next be competing at the SPEEDO National Diving Championships in Huntersville, NC on August 9th -13th.
