FAYETTEVILLE, AR — The University of Iowa women’s golf team is tied for sixth after playing 18-holes at the Lady Razorback Invitational Sunday. Arkansas is in first in the 16-team tournament with a score of 291 (+3). The Hawkeyes fired a 304 (+16) after the first round.
Junior Amy Riepma (Clear Lake, IA) leads the Hawkeyes after playing the first round today. She fired a 73 (+1) to put her in a tie for eighth. Freshman Tyrette Metzendorf (Winter Haven, FL) carded a 75 (+3) to put her in a tie for 15th place. Jill Marcum (Clarinda, IA) and Karla Murra (Sioux Falls, SD), are tied for 40th after shooting 78 (+6).
The tournament will continue Monday and Tuesday with18-holes each day at Pinnacle Golf Course in Fayetteville, AR.
