The Bidding Continues

Jan. 20, 2006

So you weren’t the highest bidder on the souvenir brick available in last week’s online auction inside hawkeyesports.com? Well, you have a second chance!

The UI expects to have items available in the online auction for about seven to 10 consecutive weeks. Week 2 items are currently available for bidding.

Well, why not check out what’s now available inside the UI Athletic Department’s new online auction space. Another set of items is now up for auction. This week’s list includes a helmet autographed by former Hawkeye Tim Dwight, a door to a private suite inside the old press box at Kinnick Stadium, and more

“The first week of the auction proved to be pretty popular. We’re confident week two and the weeks to follow will also provide fans of the Hawkeyes access to some pretty exciting and unique keepsakes and memorabilia,” said Toby Trail, Assistant Director of Marketing.

As was the case with the items included in the first week of the online auction, many of the items were removed from Kinnick Stadium after Iowa’s victory over Minnesota last November. Player lockers, coaches lockers, directional signage, and more is available. Other items have been collected during the last few exciting seasons of Iowa football.

Approximately 10 items will be available each week for approximately eight weeks. Click HERE to check out what’s available and all the ground rules for participation.
