IOWA CITY, IA — Hawkeye diver Nancilea Underwood and diving coach Bob Rydze will be representing the United States in upcoming national and international diving competitions.
Underwood will team with Stanford’s Cassidy Krug in the three-meter synchro event at the China Open FINA Grand Prix in Zhuhai, China, April 21-23. Underwood and Krug will be the only competitors from the United States.
Rydze will serve as the U.S. team leader for the FINA/USA Diving Grand Prix, May 11-14 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Rydze will also represent USA Diving at the High Performance Summit April 21-27 in Beijing, China. His duties will include surveying Olympic venues, meeting with the Beijing Organizing Committee for the 2008 Olympic Games.
