CHAMPAIGN, IL —
The University of Iowa women’s golf team finished in third place in the 36-hole Illini Spring Challenge in Champaign, IL. The Hawkeyes carded 618 (+42) after 36-holes. Oregon came n first, carding a 34 over par, 610.
Jill Marcum finished in fifth, carding a six over par, 150, making it her best finish of the season. Karla Murra came in eighth, with a 152 (+8). It was her best outing of the season as well. Maggie Gelber shot a 12 over par, 156, after two rounds to put her in a tie for 19th.
The Hawkeyes compete next at the Big Ten Championships April 28-30 in Bloomington, IN.
