The University of Iowa track team had several men competing this weekend in the 27th Sun Angel Classic held at Arizona State. The Hawkeyes ran and threw against competitors from Colorado, Colorado State, Auburn, Kansas State and several other schools from around the country.
Junior Adam Hamilton continues to dominate competition in the hammer throw. Hamilton won gold in the event with a toss of 204 feet, which surpasses the NCAA regional qualifying mark of 182-5.
Next Saturday the Hawkeyes host the Musco Twilight Invitational at Cretzmeyer Track and Field on the Iowa campus.
