University of Iowa Head Golf Coach Terry Anderson announced today that Adam Miller has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of Iowa, beginning this fall.
Miller played his first two years of collegiate golf at Indian Hills Community College and will have two years of eligibility remaining. He was a teammate of current Hawkeye Adam Fraser during his freshman campaign at Indian Hills. Miller is a native of Fort Dodge and graduated from Atlantic High School in 2004.
Miller, who boasted a 72.3 scoring average this year, was ranked the 49th and 53rd ranked player in the country according to www.golfstat.com and www.thegolfchannel.com, respectively. Miller placed 18th at the 2005 National Tournament and captured the 2006 Community First Credit Union Invitational at the Ottumwa Country Club. Additionally, he has been selected to represent Team USA in the World University Games in Torino, Italy, September 5-10, 2006. Miller is one of only three junior college golfers chosen for the team.
“Adam will be a great addition to the program,” said Coach Anderson. “He can be an impact player and should elevate the level of play of all the current team by raising the competitive level within the team.”
