IOWA CITY, IA – University of Iowa diver Nancilea Underwood was one of 10 student-athletes recently named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Women’s Spring At-Large second team for District VII. The 10 student-athletes named to the first team will be placed on the national ballot.
Underwood, a senior from Spring, TX, is the only five-time all-American in Iowa women’s swimming and diving history. She set the school and Fieldhouse Pool three-meter records, and the school one-meter championship record. She is also a three-time academic all-Big Ten selection.
