The National I-Club’s annual spring banquet tour continues the week of Monday, June 12, with stops in Okoboji and Ottumwa.
The “Gold Team” of speakers anchored by Steve Alford, head coach of the UI men’s basketball team, will travel to the NW Iowa Lakes I-Club event on Wednesday. The SEI I-Club outing will feature the “Black Team” of speakers anchored by Kirk Ferentz, head coach of the UI football team.
One event is scheduled next week. The “Hawk Team” will travel to the North Central Iowa I-Club event on Wednesday, June 21.
“These events are an excellent opportunity for fans to get a closer look at our programs,” said Matt Henderson, executive director of the National I-Club.
“The tour gives us a chance to thank thousands of loyal fans for their generous support of Iowa athletics and let them know how their financial support through the I-Club has made a significant impact on the success of our programs. It’s also an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of this year’s teams and look forward to the upcoming season.”
