The University of Iowa Department of Intercollegiate Athletics invites applications for the position of Athletics Academic Coordinator/Advisor.
Responsibilities: Monitor the academic progress of student athletes, communicate students’ academic progress to coaches and athletics administrators, teach student transition seminar, and serve as liaison to academic departments and student services offices.
Required qualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; minimum of one year advising student-athletes in a Division I intercollegiate athletics program; demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Salary commensurate.
Starting date: August 1, 2006 or negotiable.
